Chi Deh will use the two new 300-tonne cranes to replace two rather aged Liebherr LTM 1300-6.1 machines.

According to company owner Han-Yen Hu, they are still ideal for certain jobs, but are no longer state of the art. Han-Yen Hu said: “We decided on the LTM 1300-6.2 as a result of its high quality, modern technology and flexible boom systems. The telescopic boom is very long at 78 metres. With its luffing jib, which is up to 70 metres in length, the mobile crane can cover a massive working range.” The modern technology on the 300-tonne crane from Liebherr includes the single-engine concept, ECOmode and VarioBase® to ensure that the mobile crane is particularly economical and flexible.

Chi Deh is one of the largest crane and heavy haulage contractors in the whole of Taiwan with a workforce of around 1000. The majority of orders come from production companies for semi-conductor applications and LCD flat screens in Taiwan. Other areas of use include power plants, public construction site and chemical refineries. Of the forty cranes in its fleet, thirty bear the Liebherr brand name. The largest crane is an LTM 11200-9.1. The two new LTM 1300-6.2 cranes will supplement the fleet between LTM-cranes of the 160-tonne and 500-tonne class.

The reliability of Liebherr is a major factor for Han-Yen Hu: “The quality of the cranes is very important to us. We attach great value to customer service and the long term business relationships we have with Liebherr.” Liebherr has a dense network of modern service sites throughout the world. This enables the global market leader to ensure that all repair and maintenance work can be carried out quickly and in high quality.
